He spends a great amoutn of detail on these boards from sanding, smoothing, as wellas 4 coats of lacquer. You can now find all sorts of "homemade" boards on the internet (many coming from a factory in China), but I'd argue few match the craftmansship for the cost of this board. 
 
 I personally love it for wide based squats and a variety of other versatile exercises. Compared to other footplates out there, not only is it handmade by a detailed skilled craftsman, it also was cheaper than other boards I was initially considering for my use.
 
**Regardless, how I am using it.. Be advised that this is simply being sold as a handmade wooden board. What you choose to use if for is at your own discernment and risk.
